Markova is a full bodied gelding with a strong topline, powerful hindend, substantial bone and deep heart girth. He is an honest 15.2H, has 7 ¾” cannons, and a low resting heart rate of 32.
Previously shown as an extremely competitive Hunter Pleasure Amateur and Open gelding, he is qualified for the U.S. Nationals and Youth Nationals. He is well trained and well suited for all levels of riders. He is extremely honest and very willing and eager to please his rider.
He has very smooth and comfortable gaits. With his show training, he has the advantage out on the trails with being light and supple in the bridle/bosal, responsive to leg and seat cues, and balanced in any gait working off his hindend. He stands quietly for mounting and dismounting. Can be ridden anywhere alone or in a group. He’s extremely well behaved on the ground and under saddle. He understands his rider is in charge and waits for direction.
Markova recently finished his first two 50’s with all A’s and in excellent condition. He ate and drank all day and really seems to love his new occupation. I plan on doing the Moab Endurance Ride in November.
If you are looking for a well trained, honest horse with excellent conformation, size and athletic ability, this is the horse for you.
